DREAM is a student led University club that started at Queen’s University 5 years ago and have expanded into a national event for the past three years. DREAM raises money to build schools and libraries in developing countries. Since 2005, we have raised over $70,000 to build 13 libraries in Nepal and India, and a computer lab in Cambodia.

The campers play a crucial role in the Live-in for Literacy event, as you are the people who will move into the library and live there for seven days, from January 23rd to January 30th, 2010. You will eat most of your meals in the library, and will spend the night sleeping the library lobby. You will be responsible for promoting the Live-in for Literacy (LiL) event and generating considerable amount of awareness for the DREAM campaign throughout the year at Queen’s. On the seven days of the Live-in event, you will also promote DREAM’s cause in the library and generate donations. Classes will not necessarily be missed, as other team members can fill in for you during your class and/or lab time.

Camper specific responsibilities:
• Attend weekly meetings and stay updated on the upcoming socials and events for Queen’s
• Living in the Library for seven days during the Live-in event
• Advertise upcoming DREAM events throughout the school year
• Generate awareness of the Live-in for Literacy event through a variety of means
• Work with internal operations to carry out move-in and move-out days during Live-in
• Attend club socials and volunteer at DREAM promotional events
