DREAM is a student led University club that started at Queen’s University 5 years ago and have expanded into a national event for the past three years. DREAM raises money to build schools and libraries in developing countries. Since 2005, we have raised over $70,000 to build 13 libraries in Nepal and India, and a computer lab in Cambodia.
As the name has stated, your responsibility is to record and photograph every event that DREAM coordinates. This is an extremely important responsibility, as it will build a history for our club, which we can show to newcomers to increase our credibility and appeal, and thus help us attract new members. Your work will also provide great material to choose from to make next year’s posters, collages, and the letter to libraries around the country. Most of your work is independent, however sometimes you do also need to work closely with public relations, graphic design, and other members when creating advertisements for the club. Reports to: Local Manager (Queen’s)
Videographer responsibilities:
• Make a promotional video about DREAM!
• Attend weekly meetings for the Queen’s DREAM chapter and keep updated with the progress of various projects and events
• Attend social events for the Queen’s DREAM team
• Generate awareness for DREAM through a variety of means throughout the entire school year
• Generate awareness of the Live-in for Literacy event through a variety of means
• Videotaping or taking pictures of all of our events and socials
